MEET ANDRIA
Andria McClellan wants more than change for Norfolk. She wants to bring true transformation – and the necessary resources – to ensure our residents and businesses thrive. That means making our communities safer, healthier and more accessible. As a wife, and as a mom of Norfolk public school students, an engaged and action-oriented Norfolk Councilmember, and a fierce advocate for Norfolk and our region, Andria is the forward-thinking leader we need in Richmond.
ABOUT THE 21ST
DISTRICT
The New Virginia Senate District 21
Andria McClellan is running for an open, newly created State Senate seat in District 21, which is fully located within the Norfolk city boundaries. Serving Superward 6 on the Norfolk City Council, Andria has represented approximately half of this district since 2016.
The racial makeup of the district is as follows:
- 42.9% Black
- 40.8% White
- 7.8% Multiracial
- 4.9% Other
- 3.9% Asian
- (Includes 9.5% Hispanic/Latino ethnicity)
There will be a Democratic Primary for the party nomination to this district on June 20, 2023. This district has previously voted heavily for Democratic candidates in the past, having cast more than 70% for statewide and federal candidates since 2016.
